Information Technology Services
The following equipment is available for customer use:
- Data kiosks for browsing the Library's databases. The data kiosks can be used freely, and no passwords are required.
- Workstations for research use, the browsing of databases and information searches. The use of the workstations requires a user permit for the University of Helsinki's Novell personal computer network.
- Workstations for using The Web Archive are in the Newspaper reading room.
- Local users' guidance kiosks providing information about the Library´s
facilities, materials, services and equipment - The HUPnet network, to which a customer's own laptop computer can be connected with a University of Helsinki user ID
- Card-operated copier machines
