The Soviet Karelia Collection
The collection contains literature and periodicals in the Finnish, Russian and Finno-Ugric languages published in the Carelian Republic from 1920 to 1977. Literature from this area after 1978 is placed in the Library's ordinary collections.
There are some 3,900 publications, mainly in Finnish (2,500), in this special collection. The collection is not complete.
Catalogues
- The material is catalogued in the database FENNICA, and there is also a card catalogue for items up to 1977.
