Use of the Collections
Ordered maps are kept in the Special Reading Room and must be asked for at the Service Desk. Maps are fragile archival materials, and self-service copies of them are not permitted. The Library provides copies made to order.
Domestic and foreign atlases are found in the General Reading Room's reference library. Cartography-related magazines are located in the magazine area situated in the reference library's connecting corridor or in the closed stacks.
Geographical and cartographic literature is displayed in section 91 of the Open Collection on the Rotunda's 4th floor and in the closed stacks. The publications can be accessed through the Helka database.
