Maps in the the Research Collection
The research Collection includes a selection of historical foreign atlases, travel accounts and geographic literature. Information concerning maps printed before 1956 can be found in the catalogue in the Special Reading Room; maps printed after 1956 have been catalogued in the Helka database.
Finnish and foreign atlases can be found in reference section in the General Reading Room's reference collection. Cartography-related periodicals are located in the magazine area situated in the connecting corridor between the café and Fabianian building, or in the closed stacks.
Geographic and cartographic literature is displayed in class 91 of the Open Access Collection in the Rotunda and in the closed stack. Holding information is found in the helka database.
