The Armeniaca Collection

The collection contains literature in Armenian published in Russia from 1828 to 1917 which the Library received as deposit copies during the Russian era. There are almost 3,000 titles, of these 87 are serial titles.

The collection contains fiction, religious literature, history, folklore, grammar books, dictionaries, translated literature and books on economics and politics.

Parts of the collection have been microfilmed. In 1979 the IDC (Inter Documentation Company) microfilmed the classical literature, the source books and the linguistics works.

The material is used in the Special Reading Room.
