The Arabica Collection

The collection contains literature in Arabic published in Russia from 1828 to 1917 that the Library received as deposit copies during the Russian era. There are 600 titles: Korans, koranic art, classical Arabian literature and textbooks.

The Arabica Collection, together with the collections Caucasica, Persica and Turcica, is an important part of the Islamic literature printed in Russia.

The material is studied in the Special Reading Room.
