The ISMN and Online Publications
An ISMN is recommended for electronic notated music publications which have contents that are intended to be permanent. If a publication is available both as a paper edition and online in several computer formats (PDF, HTML, etc.), each version should be assigned an individual ISMN.
All the ISMNs should be listed one below the other on all versions, and the abbreviated format should be mentioned in brackets at the end of its ISMN. The ISMN of the online publication should be mentioned on the title display or the first display.
