Free access to the Union Catalogues
Searching the Union Catalogues (Melinda and ARTO) is free of charge. Copy cataloguing, however, is subject to a fee.
Copy cataloguing
Finnish public libraries and libraries of universities of applied sciences have a license to copy MARC records from Union Catalogues. In addition, union catalogue data producers have a right to copy cataloguing based on the producer contracts. Libraries involved in the SVUC Agreement have the right to copy records from Melinda. Others need a separate Subscriber Agreement. Access is based on IP addresses.
