Interlibrary Services

Incoming interlibrary services

Working through the National Library of Finland's Interlibrary Services, a customer can order loanable or replicated materials unavailable in Helsinki. The Slavonic Library's Interlibrary Service orders loans and replications from libraries in Russia and, if necessary, other Eastern European countries.

Interlibrary Services are subject to a fee. Interlibrary Services function at the service point in conjunction with other loan services. An Interlibrary Services order can be made electronically with a printed order form or by e-mail. After an arrival notice has been sent, the material can be retrieved from the library, at which time the fee is paid.

Outgoing interlibrary services

Materials in the National Library of Finland (Helka location H and Slavonic Library H2) are sent to other libraries on their request. Interlibrary loans are not given for items from the National Collection and manuscript collections. Libraries can submit their orders by mail, electronic order forms or e-mail.
