Reservations and Requests for Materials

Reservations for books currently on loan can be made at the Library's reception points. Reservations can also be made directly in the Helka database. The reservation fee is EUR 1 and is paid when retrieving the materials. Making a reservation requires a valid Helka card.

A request for books available in closed stacks can be made free of charge directly in the Helka database.

When making the reservation, Helka will ask for the user's library card number and last name. The customer is then shown a drop-down menu with 3 choices:
To reserve a book currently out on loan, select Hold (VARAUS).
To reserve a book from the closed stacks currently out on loan, select Recall (PALAUTUSPYYNTÖ).
To reserve an available book from the closed stacks, select Call slip
(AINEISTOPYYNTÖ).

Helka
