The Russica Collection
The collection contains literature in mainly German, French and English published in Russia from 1828 to 1917 which the Library received as deposit copies during the Russian era. All the material that the University needed for research and studies were first selected from the material, and the remaining publications were gathered into a special collection, the Russica Collection.
The collection contains fiction, textbooks, calendars, annual publications, devotional literare and hymn books, statistics, and official ephemera and occasional publications. About 5,000 of the collection's 19,000 titles are catalogued. The collection is systematically arranged in two sections: the catalogued collection and the uncatalogued collection. There is a list of the collection's newspapers.
The material can be studied in the Special Reading Room in Fabiania.
