Music Manuscripts

The Music Manuscript Collection consists primarily of composers' scores and private documents related to Finnish composers and musicians, as well as foreign composers and musicians who have been influential in Finland. The collection also has materials concerning music societies and publishers.

The manuscript collection spans a thousand-year period, but the emphasis is on the music of the 1900s. Augmented annually, the collections are an important source for the study of Finland's music and musical life.
