The Miscellanea and Miscellanea-Korff Collections

The collections Miscellanea and Miscellanea-Korff contain some 400 volumes in leather bindings. The volumes contain polemic publications that were printed in the 16th and 18th centuries without the permission of the censure officials. Among the publications are books on travel, politics and religion.

The collections were partly gathered by the Helsinki University Library (since August 2006, The National Library of Finland), partly by a donation from 1832. Some of the publications have been owned by the bibliophile J.A. von Korff.

The material is studied in the Special Reading Room in Fabiania.
