Open Access Collection

The Open Access Loan Collection and the Reference Library in the Rotunda contain the most heavily used literature of the Humanities Collection. Most of the recent acquisitions are placed there.

The Open Access Loan Collection is placed in the Rotunda, floors 3-5, the reference books are on the 3rd floor. Shelf classification and location in the Rotunda.

This is a self-service system: the borrower fetches the books and records the loans at the automatic lending machine or at the Circulation Desk. The reference books can only be used in the Library.

Reference Library

The Humanities Collection's reference books are placed in the halls in the Main Building and in the Rotunda on the second floor. The microfilms are in the Newspaper Room (North Hall, P-sali). The reference collection of foreign periodicals is in the periodical stack in the passway between the Rotunda and Fabiania.

The reference collections can only be used in the Library.

There are also reference collections in the Fennica Reading Room, Special Reading Room, Music Library, Slavonic Library and American Resource Center
