The Humanities Collection's Map Collections

The Humanities Collection includes a selection of historical foreign atlases, travel accounts and geographic literature. Information concerning maps printed before 1956 can be found in the catalogue in the Special Reading Room; maps printed after 1956 have been catalogued in the Helka database.

Domestic and foreign atlases are found in the General Reading Room's reference library. Cartography-related magazines are located in the magazine area situated in the reference library's connecting corridor, or the closed stacks.

Geographical and cartographic literature is displayed in section 91 of the Open Collection on the Rotunda's 4th floor and in the closed stacks. The publications can be accessed through the Helka database.
