Collections
Our library is an academic research library open to all. The most prominent collections and services are history, Antiquity and Mediaeval studies, Russian and Eastern European studies, educational and bibliographic history, the history of cartography, art studies, and philosophy. Research literature can be found in the University of Helsinki's Helka database.
The National Collection has archive materials that can be examined for research purposes only in the library's reading rooms. Information about the National Collection's materials can be accessed from the Fennica and Viola databases.
