Finnish Legal Deposit Libraries
The National Library receives copies of all printed publications, sound and image recordings, as well as electronic recordings. The National Library also collects a representative sample of Finnish on-line materials.
The National Library distributes legal deposit copies to the other legal deposit libraries in Finland. However, newspaper materials are housed exclusively in the National Library, and small publications (ephemera) only in the Turku University Library in addition to the National Library.
Online materials will be in public use in all legal deposit libraries through specifically reserved terminals.
