All Finnish university and polytechnic libraries have online catalogues, and the major special libraries as well. The Union Catalogue is called LINDA. ARTO is the database of Finnish articles and it also provides access to the full texts of some of them. LINDA and ARTO require a user lisence, but most Finnish research libraries have one and all the public libraries as well.

The Finnish national bibliography is FENNICA and national discography is VIOLA. They are both freely accessible.

Online resources can be accessed via the NELLI information retrieval portal or the Science Linkhouse. To access full text resources via NELLI you need to use it in the local area network of a member institution or with the user ID of one.
