The Finnish Committee for Information and Documentation
The Finnish Committee advances the standardisation of information and documentation, taking into account the needs of Finnish society. Corporations interested in Information and Documentation are members on a voluntary basis. The Committee is one of the technical committees of the SFS, the Finnish Standards Association.
The Finnish Committee participates in the development of international ISO standards and national SFS standards in this field. The Committee is a voting member of ISO TC46, "Information and Documentation", and follows up the work of ISO TC171, "Document management applications".
The Committee is chaired by Mr. Juha Hakala (juha.hakala[at]helsinki.fi) from the National Library of Finland; the secretary is Ms Kati Heiskanen (kati.heiskanen[at]sfs.fi) from the SFS.

KATVE - The National Library Working Group on Networking Standards
The KATVE working group is open to all Finnish library software developers and development projects. It closely follows the international field and discusses national implementation policies and develops and maintains national profiles.
The group is chaired by Mr Ari Rouvari (ari.rouvari[at]helsinki.fi) from the National Library.
