Information and Documentation Standards
In Finland standardisation in this field is coordinated by the Committee for Information and Documentation set up by the SFS, the Finnish Standards Association. The KATVE Group is organised by the National Library to promote implementation of these standards in library systems.
The National Library of Finland also hosts the National Agencies of the Standard Numbers for Publications (ISBN, ISMN, ISSN, URN) and is responsible for the MARC and ONIX cataloguing formats. It is also the national Dublin Core affiliate.
