Access rights
Free access to the Linnea Union Catalogues is being piloted in 2010
Free access to the Linnea Union Catalogues (LINDA and ARTO) is being piloted in 2010, and the fees for searching are not debited. Copy cataloguing and access to the Elektra materials, however, are still subject to a fee.
Searching (2009)
Nearly all Finnish universities, all polytechnic libraries and all public libraries have a licence to search the Linnea Union Catalogues in their local area networks. Some universities also allow remote access - for further information, please, contact your university. Moreover several company and special libraries have acquired a search licence. The access is based on IP-addresses (see Subscriber Agreement and fees below).

Copy cataloguing
Finnish public libraries and polytechnic libraries have a licence to copy MARC records from Linnea Union Catalogues. In addition, union catalogue data producers have a right to copy cataloguing based on the producer contracts. Libraries involved in the SVUC Agreement, have the right to copy records from LINDA. Others need a separate Subscriber Agreement. The access is based on IP-addresses.
