User Questionnaires
FinELib has been acquiring e-resources for its member organisations on a centralised basis since 1997. The organisations comprising the consortium also acquire e-resources directly from publishers and vendors. Hundreds of databases and thousands of e-journals and e-books have been obtained for customer use.
The ninth user questionnaire survey on electronic resources provided by FinELib, the National Electronic Library, was conducted in April 2007. Customers at university, university of applied sciences, public and special libraries as well as research institutes were asked a number of questions, including how much they used the e-resources and how satisfied they were with them. The answers show that in many cases, the use of electronic resources has improved the availability of resources and increased their accessibility considerably.
