President of Italy visited the National Library

The president of Italy Giorgio Napolitano and Mrs. Cio Maria Napolitano visited the National Library on Wednesday the 10th of September. The guests were received by the Chancellor of the Helsinki University Ilkka Niiniluoto, the director of the National Library Kai Ekholm and the director of the Research Library Services Liisa Savolainen.
The guests were shown some of the rare books and prints from the National Library’s Collections, with special emphasis on Finnish history and fiction.
