Tours of The National Library of Finland

The National Library offers guided tours of the public areas of the Library, including a short presentation of the Library's history, architecture, collections and services. Contact for visitor services: Esko Rahikainen, tel. +358 (0)9 191 22722. Tailored tours for special groups are available.

The tours cost €50 per hour. Groups from the University of Helsinki are free of charge.

Printed guides and brochures can be purchased in the Library's bookshop.

The Library welcomes tourist groups with their own guides to visit the Cupola Hall and the National Library's Exhibition Gallery. All visitors are requested to leave their coats and bags in the cloakroom or in the lockers in the vestibule.

The James Madison Council visited the National Library in August 2008.

The National Library of Finland's address is Unioninkatu 36. There is only one entrance to the Library.
