Logo

The logo of the National Library of Finland is a combination of text and image. It was created by graphic designer Erik Bruun in the early 2000s.

The pillar in the logo represents the academic community and the National Library’s history. The year 1640 refers to the continuity of operations as well as the National Library’s roots, which stretch back to the establishment of the Academy of Turku.
