Subsequent to 1917, the newspaper collection of the Slavonic Library contains major newspapers published in Slavic languages from the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

Collection description

Subsequent to 1917, the newspaper collection of the Slavonic Library contains major newspapers published in Slavic languages from the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. In addition, the collection contains newspapers published by Russian emigrants. From the 1990s on, the collection contains main newspapers from the Slavic language area. Depending on the title they can be read as original paper publications or on microfilm.  Some periodicals are available in electronic format. All annual volumes of Pravda, Izvestija and Literaturnaja gazeta newspapers are available in digital format. A comprehensive selection of newspapers published in current Russia and CIS countries can be used electronically through the Integrum portal.
