The collection is for the most part catalogued into the National Library Search. However, some of the older literature (up until 1977) with its location data is only available in the card index of the National Collection.

Acquisition policy
Was statutorily accrued 1810–1972 as legal deposit copies. However, some imprints were never submitted to the collections, and some have been lost for various reasons. Some publications are in such a bad condition that better copies are sought to replace them. The collection is supplemented with private donations. Information about literature missing from the National Collection is partly available at the catalogue of missing literature in the Search Service.
